Baseball Preview: Loveland Tigers vs. Milford Eagles

The Loveland Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Milford Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Loveland will be strutting in after a win while Milford will be coming in after a loss.

Loveland is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Friday, just like they did against Winton Woods (and have done all season long). Loveland put the hurt on Winton Woods with a sharp 12-1 victory on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Loveland.

Will Sullivan looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Proano-Raps, who went 3-for-3 with four RBI and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Juram, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Milford didn't have quite enough to beat West Clermont on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Louden Hilliard was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
