Falls Lake entered their tilt with Chapel Hill on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Firebirds, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

While Falls Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Sadye Buffaloe paced Falls Lake's offense, picking up ten kills. Buffaloe got some help from Addison Buffaloe and her 11 assists. Tess DeZurik controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Falls Lake's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Chapel Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falls Lake will square off against Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapel Hill, they will challenge Apex Friendship at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
