Football Recap: Greenwood Rangers vs. Pecos Eagles
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenwood). They breezed by the Pecos Eagles at home to the tune of 56-29 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Rangers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the loss, Pecos still got an impressive performance from Colt Salgado, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 153 yards and a touchdown. Salgado's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pecos, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenwood will take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Pecos, they will head out to square off against Monahans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
