 Shelbyville Central had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Varsity Opponent  a   9-0 shutout  on Saturday.
  Bailey Dunn and  Sammie Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Dunn   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Brown   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. At the plate,  Dunn  went 4-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and a  run, while  Brown  went 3-for-4 with a  home run and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lilly Brown, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ja?mya Anderson, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Shelbyville Central's win  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-7. As for Varsity Opponent, their defeat was  their sixth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 25-77-1.
 Shelbyville Central will  face off against Tullahoma at 3:00  p.m.  on Sunday. Tullahoma has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight  runs per game on average), something Shelbyville Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing at home against Bristol at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
