Basketball Preview: Grand Meadow Superlarks vs. Kingsland Knights
The Grand Meadow Superlarks will head out on the road to face off against the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Grand Meadow has struggled recently with eight losses in a row, while the Knights will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Thursday, Grand Meadow was beaten by the Hurricanes 71-28.
Meanwhile, even though Lyle/Pacelli scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, Kingsland still came out on top. Kingsland strolled past the Athletics with points to spare, taking the game 84-66. Given Kingsland's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Athletics are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grand Meadow's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Kingsland, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Grand Meadow was taken down by the Knights 58-30 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kingsland's Max Erdman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
