Basketball Recap: Ravenna Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Breckyn Wick and Reannon Siegel

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 41-21 to the Centura Centurions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 32-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Ravenna's loss came despite strong showings from Reannon Siegel and Breckyn Wick. Siegel posted three points and six steals, while Wick earned six points. The dominant performance gave Siegel a new career-high in steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centura to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedy Davis, who put up 11 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Taya Taukiuvea, who scored five points in addition to ten boards and seven steals.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Centura, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Paul the next time they take the court. Centura will host St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ravenna will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th.
