Basketball Recap: Ada Gets the Win

Ada won the last time they faced Seminole and things went their way on Monday too. The Ada Cougars slipped by the Seminole Chieftains 50-49. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Chieftains are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ada was led to victory by Miilan Riley and Grayson Morris. Riley went 6-for-9 to rack up 18 points and seven boards, while Morris dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Morris a new career-high in blocks (two). Brock Boyles was another key player, putting up 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Ada smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Ada's record is now 14-10. As for Seminole, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Ada nor Seminole have any future games scheduled.
