With a playoff win on the line, Alexander Central rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Mount Tabor Spartans get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.

Alexander Central pushed their record up to 25-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Tabor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Alexander Central will square off against Davie on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 2.3, the War Eagles 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Mount Tabor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
