Football Game Preview: Northbridge Rams vs. Tantasqua Regional Warriors

Northbridge and Tantasqua Regional are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Northbridge took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They breezed past Bay Path RVT to the tune of 40-6. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 32 points or more this season.

Joel Lachapelle had an outrageously good game as he threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 34 yards and one TD. Those 282 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Morodney Daigle was another key player, gaining 77 total yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tantasqua Regional). They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over Nashoba Regional on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Tantasqua Regional's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northbridge, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Northbridge against Tantasqua Regional in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, as the team secured a 36-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
