Volleyball Recap: Pinedale Wranglers vs. Rock Springs TIGERS
Pinedale faced Rock Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wranglers fell just short of the TIGERS by a score of 2-1. If the Wranglers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the TIGERS when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Despite the loss, Pinedale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Remedios Mata had 11 digs.
Pinedale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rock Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinedale will venture away from home to take on Cokeville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wranglers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rock Springs, they will square off against Kelly Walsh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
