Baseball Recap: Southwood Takes a Loss

Southwood had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-6 to make it ten. They came up short against the Rochester Zebras, falling 10-0. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Zebras when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Rochester, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Considering they have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Rochester's part, Brady Coleman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Coleman a new career-high. Tanner Reinartz was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwood will head out to square off against Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rochester, they will venture away from home to take on Northfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
