Softball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ottawa-Glandorf on Monday, Shawnee came back down to earth. The Indians lost 8-1 to the Ada Bulldogs on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Anna Menke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Shawnee moved to 13-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Ada, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Shawnee will challenge Elida at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ada, they will square off against Lincolnview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
