Softball Recap: Cardinal Stritch Comes Up Short

Cardinal Stritch lost against Danbury back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Cardinal Stritch came up short against Danbury, falling 19-8. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenzie Kinnie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Gawle, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Cardinal Stritch's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Danbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Cardinal Stritch will challenge Bowsher at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Danbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakota at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give Danbury their first taste of in-conference action this season.
