Soccer Recap: Manatee Takes a Loss

Manatee lost against Palmetto back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Manatee Hurricanes fell just short of the Palmetto Tigers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Tigers are ranked 98th).

Manatee's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Palmetto, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Southeast the next time they take the pitch. Manatee will host Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Palmetto will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
