While Mansfield's victory against Horatio wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mansfield Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Horatio Lions on Monday, sneaking past 14-13. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.
Daisy Nelson was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Ashlynn Whittaker was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Nelson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mansfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
