Currituck County lost to Manteo last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Currituck County had just enough and edged out Manteo 10-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Amelia Cervantes, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Kori Belangia also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
