Baseball Recap: Walnut Grove Tigers vs. Halfway Cardinals
Walnut Grove came out on top against Halfway on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Tigers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 2nd.
Max Hanak made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
