Baseball Recap: Haynesville's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Haynesville waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Plain Dealing Lions 11-2. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Tornado, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aiden LeBlanc was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Haynesville is undefeated when LeBlanc posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-4-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter LeBlanc, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of D'Kayden Frazier, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Haynesville's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Plain Dealing, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haynesville will host Union Parish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Plain Dealing, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Plain Dealing Lions take on Simsboro Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Simsboro has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.58 runs per game on average), something Plain Dealing will no doubt try to take advantage of.
