Basketball Recap: Hunter Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Hunter had won two straight games and Grace Gallagher did her part to make it three on Friday. The Hunter Wolverines enjoyed a cozy 47-31 win over the Granger Lancers thanks in part to Gallagher, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 29 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Granger had strong showings from Hoku Pili, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Kato Makoni, who posted seven points along with seven boards and three steals. May Nydegger also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Hunter's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Granger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Hunter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-41 defeat against West Jordan on the 21st. As for Granger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-56 loss against Taylorsville on the 21st.
