Volleyball Recap: Sierra Vista Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Sierra Vista not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th. They blew past the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mountain Lions also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

One reason for the win was Sierra Vista's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-9.

Regi Beshiri paced Sierra Vista's offense, picking up 13 kills. Beshiri got some help from Jeremiah James and his 13 assists. Ayden Lara controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sierra Vista's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-12. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Coming up, Sierra Vista will head out on the road to face off against Green Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Canyon Springs on the 14th.
