Recap: Columbia Tigers vs. Middleburg Broncos

With a playoff game on the line, the Columbia Tigers rose to the challenge on Monday. They breezed by the Broncos at home to the tune of 66-16. Columbia has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than MARIAH COX, who scored 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points COX has scored all season. JOLENA GARDNER was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals.

The victory (which was Columbia's third in a row) raised their record to 14-10. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38 points. As for Middleburg, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Columbia will face off against Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Ridgeview's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Middleburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
