Baseball Game Preview: Brandywine Heights Area Bullets vs. Kutztown Cougars

The Brandywine Heights Area Bullets will head out to face off against the Kutztown Cougars at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brandywine Heights Area will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Oley Valley, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bullets never let the Lynx get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Monday. The Bullets not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 10-0).

The result came thanks to Matthew Sterner's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tommy Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brady Lieb also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Kutztown beat Wyomissing 4-1 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Kutztown's record is now 8-4. As for Brandywine Heights Area, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Brandywine Heights Area suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Kutztown in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bullets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
