Soccer Recap: Orthopaedic's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orthopaedic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Chavez Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Vipers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Christopher Del Rio, who's now up to nine this season.

Orthopaedic moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matches. As for Chavez, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Orthopaedic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chavez, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Chavez face off against the Santee at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Santee sitting on five straight wins and Chavez on four.
