Baseball Recap: Lake Brantley Comes Up Short

If Lake Brantley was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Deltona last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winter Springs Bears on Friday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lake Brantley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Penney, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lake Brantley's loss dropped their record down to 15-9-1. As for Winter Springs, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

As of now, neither Lake Brantley nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
