Softball Recap: Ephrata Comes Up Short

Ephrata fell victim to Solanco and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Mules. The defeat continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their meetings with the Golden Mules: they've now lost three in a row.

Kylie Thomas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits.

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Solanco, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ephrata is set to challenge their familiar foe Lampeter-Strasburg at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Solanco will face off against rival Conestoga Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
