Football Recap: Alisal Takes a Loss

After soaring to 38 points the game before, Alisal was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the Watsonville Wildcatz. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcatz apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Alisal didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aubrey Jones and Mia Rivera.

Alisal dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Watsonville, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alisal will challenge rival Monterey at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Watsonville is set to face off against their familiar foe Carmel at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
