Baseball Recap: Brewbaker Tech Takes a Loss

Brewbaker Tech came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Saint James Trojans by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Trojans since April 3, 2018.

Tanner Thornton and Jamari Thomas stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thornton scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Thomas scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Thornton has become a key player for Brewbaker Tech: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8 otherwise. Michael Woody also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Brewbaker Tech is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9. As for Saint James, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
