Basketball Recap: Nikiski Comes Up Short

Nikiski was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kenai Central Kardinals, falling 81-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-52 back in January.

Nikiski's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Kenai Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coming up, Nikiski will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Homer at 7:30 p.m. As for Kenai Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
