Basketball Game Preview: Eden Prairie Eagles vs. Wayzata Trojans

The Eden Prairie Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Wayzata Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Eden Prairie earned an 80-72 win over Washburn.

Meanwhile, Wayzata had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging an 86-54 victory over the Bison. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.

Eden Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.2 points per game. As for Wayzata, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Eden Prairie came up short against Wayzata in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 85-80. Can Eden Prairie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
