Decatur got themselves on the board against White River on Monday, but White River never followed suit. They skirted past the Hornets 2-0. While the Golden Gators didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Dylan Reano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Reano was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, Hunter Buol tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
