Volleyball Recap: Royal Valley Takes a Loss

Royal Valley was the 2-1 winner over Hiawatha when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Royal Valley was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Royal Valley's record now sits at 10-17-1. As for Hiawatha, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-18 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hiawatha beat Royal Valley by a score of 2-0 later that day.
