Basketball Recap: Central Golden Eagles vs. West Springfield Terriers
Make it seven blowout wins for the Central Golden Eagles this season. They blew past West Springfield 57-25 on the road on Monday. Winning may never get old, but Central sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Jai-lyn Garvin-martin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Angela Hector was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Central's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for West Springfield, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Central will be playing at home against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
