Baseball Game Preview: Postville Pirates vs. Turkey Valley Trojans

Postville is 0-10 against Turkey Valley since June of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Postville has given up an average of 17.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Postville is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 30th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against MFL MarMac, falling 24-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Turkey Valley). They put the hurt on North Fayette Valley with a sharp 15-7 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Postville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Turkey Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.

Postville might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Turkey Valley in their previous meeting back in June of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
