Soccer Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hampton County Hurricanes, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hampton County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 two weeks ago.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hampton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Ridgeland is taking a road trip to face off against Hardeeville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgeland will be up against Hardeeville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.38 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Hampton County has already played their next contest (against Woodland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
