Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Caldwell

Caldwell waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Caldwell wouldn't go down easily and took BVCHEA HomeSchool into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 15-12.

Reese McManus paced Caldwell's offense, picking up 15 kills. McManus got some help from Lydia Giese and her 23 assists. Giese was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 14-21. As for BVCHEA HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will head out to take on Giddings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for BVCHEA HomeSchool, they will challenge Iola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
