Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Has No Trouble Against Valley

Notre Dame not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th. They put the hurt on the Valley Lumberjacks with a sharp 20-6 win. With that victory, the Fighting Irish brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Notre Dame got a massive performance out of Dominick Bombardiere, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Bombardiere a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Nutter, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.

Notre Dame now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Valley, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will welcome Tygarts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley, they will be playing at home against Jefferson County Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
