Basketball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Cosby and Monacan had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans came up short against the Chiefs on Wednesday, falling 69-48. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Tai Bowler had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 35 points and 16 rebounds for Monacan. With that strong performance, Bowler is now averaging an impressive 9 boards per game. Amare Cooper was another key player, putting up 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Monacan, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Cosby has already played their next contest (against Glen Allen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Monacan, they will be home for the holidays to greet Jefferson Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
