Football Recap: Rice Memorial Skates Past Missisquoi Valley with Ease

Rice Memorial's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed past the Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds to the tune of 58-6. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-0.

Griffin Seitz went supernova, rushing for 182 yards and three TDs on only ten carries, while also picking up 46 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 182 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Tyson, who threw for 116 yards and three touchdowns.

The win got Rice Memorial back to even at 1-1. As for Missisquoi Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rice Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Spaulding at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Missisquoi Valley will square off against rival Mt. Abraham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
