Baseball Game Preview: Mansfield Summit Jaguars vs. Cleburne Yellowjackets

Mansfield Summit is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Cleburne a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Mansfield Summit Jaguars will be playing at home against the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Mansfield Summit has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mansfield Summit came up short against Mansfield Timberview on Friday, falling 12-2.

Mansfield Summit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Randall, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, while Cleburne put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Trimble Tech. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cleburne's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Mansfield Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 6-21.

Mansfield Summit suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Cleburne in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
