El Cerrito has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hercules recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The El Cerrito Gauchos will host the Hercules Titans at 4:00 p.m. El Cerrito knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Hercules likes a good challenge.
El Cerrito barely beat Piedmont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went El Cerrito's way against Piedmont on Saturday as El Cerrito made off with a 15-2 win. Fans of the Gauchos have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Courtney Miles made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arlie Tatum, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Olive Calvin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
El Cerrito always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .525 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hercules came up short against Swett on Friday, falling 22-9. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.
El Cerrito's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 17.5 runs. As for Hercules, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.
Hercules' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: El Cerrito has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .552. It's a different story for Hercules, though, as they've only averaged .316. Will they be able to contain El Cerrito's hitters?
El Cerrito was able to grind out a solid win over Hercules in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 10-6. Will El Cerrito repeat their success, or does Hercules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
