Football Recap: Temple City Rams vs. Monrovia Wildcats

Friday just wasn't the day for Temple City's offense. They were outmatched by the Monrovia Wildcats on the road and fell 49-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 726th, while the Wildcats are ranked 313th).

Temple City wouldn't let Monrovia keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Temple City can thank Tyler Womack and Josh Jones for forcing both of them.

Joshua Griffiths continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Monrovia, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Griffiths showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple City will head out to face off against Polytechnic at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Temple City is facing Polytechnic at the right time seeing as Polytechnic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Monrovia, a feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats challenges South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. They will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Monrovia surely won't give up without a fight.
