Soccer Game Preview: ALA - Queen Creek vs. ALA - Gilbert North

The ALA - Queen Creek Patriots will head out to challenge the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. ALA - Queen Creek will be strutting in after a victory while ALA - Gilbert North will be coming in after a defeat.

ALA - Queen Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Poston Butte onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, ALA - Gilbert North's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to Crismon. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Rattlers are ranked 13th).

ALA - Gilbert North's goal came courtesy of Lexie Galbraith, who's now up to 18 this season.

ALA - Queen Creek pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for ALA - Gilbert North, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

ALA - Queen Creek took their win against ALA - Gilbert North when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for ALA - Queen Creek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
