Floydada had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Post Antelopes on Thursday as they made off with a 12-3 win. The Whirlwinds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 23 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Bella Perez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Floydada is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Post, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-14 record.

Floydada will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Antelopes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
