Volleyball Recap: Julianna Johnston Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat St. Anne-Pacelli

The Central Lions had just enough and edged out the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings 2-1 on Tuesday.

Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julianna Johnston led the charge by getting nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Johnston has posted since back in October of 2024.

Central's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Coming up, Central will square off against Northgate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Columbus on the 12th.
