Softball Recap: Waupaca Comes Up Short

Waupaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Wrightstown Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Friday.

L Cinchy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Wrightstown, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Waupaca has already played their next game (against Rhinelander), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wrightstown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chilton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Chilton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
