While West Ridge's win against Sullivan East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Patriots on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

West Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Sullivan East into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-11, 25-14, 18-25, 15-6.

Nila Horne paced West Ridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Horne got some help from Myra Copas and her 18 assists. Horne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

West Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sullivan East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, West Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Dobyns-Bennett at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sullivan East, they will welcome Virginia High at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
