Softball Recap: Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers vs. Connelly School of the Holy Child
Georgetown Day won the last time they faced Connelly School of the Holy Child and things went their way on Thursday too. The Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers were the clear victor by a 20-2 margin over Connelly School of the Holy Child. The Mighty Hoppers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by ten runs or more this season.
Natalie Ogden made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Ogden was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Georgetown Day got a massive performance out of Tatum Mach, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was Mach's first of the season. Avery Snyder was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
