Softball Recap: Nazarene Christian Academy Lions vs. Mercy Culture Prep Royals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Temple Christian, Nazarene Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over the Mercy Culture Prep Royals. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.
Gracyn Whitsell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
