It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Lake had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Sickles Gryphons by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Asalyn Schrotenboer paced East Lake's offense, picking up ten kills. Schrotenboer got some help from
Kellyanne Wylie and her 18 assists. Finally, Wylie was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Despite the loss, Sickles still got an impressive performance from Mari Heymans, who had 16 digs and two aces.
East Lake's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. As for Sickles, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.
East Lake has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Steinbrenner on the 26th. Sickles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
