Tucumcari's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 33-28 win over the Logan Longhorns. The Rattlers haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Tucumcari got a massive performance out of Caylee Benavidez, who went 6-for-7 with one home run, five stolen bases, and five runs. With that strong performance, Benavidez is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Riley Knapp, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-5.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tucumcari kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 30 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tucumcari's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Logan, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Tucumcari will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair will be back at it again later today.
